Carreg Cennen Castle is one of Wales's unique Castle Wedding Venues. The Castle itself has been voted Wales's most Romantic Ruin by Countryfile Magazine and the privately owned and run site is a perfect for those wanting to have their Wedding at a venue which they can feel at home in yet with all the benefits from a team with immense professionalism, expertise and experience. We will be on hand to help or advise every step of the exciting planning stages and make sure that every part of your dream and more is fulfilled. We have just completed a Ceremony Venue from stone, oak, welsh slate & glass which brings the outdoors indoors through a large oak framed building with 2 glazed elevations to capture the magical scenery which surrounds the whole site.
Wherever possible we strive to accommodate all requirements, in order to accomplish this we host a maximum of one wedding a weekend from September to June. We hold no functions in July or August, or Bank Holiday weekends. Visitor numbers to the castle being at their peak at these times, making it impossible for us to give the required attention to such an important occasion.

Your Wedding Reception - Useful things to note...
We cater for a minimum of 60 adults and a maximum of 115.
All menu options are homemade and we try to use as much seasonal and local produce where your choices allow. Although menus will need to be based around the options detailed below, any specific requirements that you may have can always be discussed. All the options as far as menus are detailed below.
If you wish to have additional evening guests, this
of course is fine. The Barn can accommodate 150 people for drinks and snacks.
If you are indeed thinking of having more than 120 guests for your evening
reception then the brand new Wood Shed can be available from when your evening
guests arrive as a quiet room with a bespoke canvas covered walkway to it
from the Barn, this is available for an additional fee of £200.
Price per head for a Wedding includes not only the menu as shown below,
but also the room on the day prior to the wedding from 2pm to 6pm for any
decorating you may want to do, the venue for the day of the wedding, and
floodlighting of the castle for the evening of your Wedding.
A non refundable deposit of £1000 is required when you confirm your date with us.

What is included on the day.
Unlike most venues we do not have additonal costs for items which we consider necessary. For example all linen, napkins, cutlery and tablewear is included in the price. If you do wish to provide your own table linen then this is not a problem. We do have a small selection of candle holders that you can also borrow for the day if you wish. Just have a chat in advance about your requirments.

Melon served with Carmarthen Ham
Pate served with rustic toast & a red onion relish.
Smoked Salmon Bilinis served with creme freche.
Main Course
As a main course we also have several options for you to choose
from.

(Nut Roast with Chestnut Puree Stuffing served with a White Wine sauce)

Creamed Swede.
We also have a Buffet option if
you prefer not to have a hot dinner as your main course or have more than
115 guests which you would like to invite to your reception.

What is not included in the price per head.
* Table Wine and Champagne
We have an extensive wine list if you would like to choose wine for your guests
to have at their table and we also have a very reasonable selection of Champagnes
and Sparkling wine which we can provide if you would like to provide a toast
at any point during the day. We can also source pretty much any wine if you
have a particular preference which is not on our wine list. Just give a little
notice for us to shop around for a good price for you.
If you however quite fancy a bit of wine tasting and the challenge of a bartar
or a nice long weekend in France then we don't mind you providing your own
wine and or sparkling wine/champagne but we do however charge £10.00
corkage per bottle opened.

a red kidney bean.

Cocktail sausages glazed in honey and wholegrain mustard

* Entertainment
We do not have any rulings as far as Entertainment providing
they bring all of their own equipment and sound brilliant! ;-)
Please make sure your entertainers are aware that they need to supply all
their own equipment, tables etc. Bands/ groups/ discos tend to arrive and
set up the evening of the wedding but if required they can come in the night
before or the morning of the wedding to set up. Equipment can be left over
night if necessary providing it is collected by 10am the following morning.
* Room Decorations
As mentioned earlier we do have candle holders which we are happy for you to borrow. We do also have two black cast iron pedastle stands which you can hire from us if you wish. As far as other accessories for flowers you or your florist will need to provide these. Please make sure your florist is aware of this. Any questions with what we have seen that seems to work best though, please ask during the planning stages.
We also have 10 Ivory chair covers for the top table as shown
in the picture above, these are available for £1.00 each. Please ask
in advance.
*Wedding Cake
We are quite happy for your wedding cake (if applicable) to be delievered the night before the wedding if necessary but the morning of the wedding seems to work best. We will cut and serve this to your guests at the time of your choosing and we don't charge extra for this service. A complimetary cake knife is also provided.
